My Graduation Day đźŽ“

Graduation day was one of the proudest and most memorable days of my life. After years of studying Promotional Design and Visual Merchandising, all the hard work, long days and challenging projects had finally paid off.

Getting ready in my cap and gown made everything feel real. I was excited and nervous as I joined my classmates for the ceremony. Walking across the stage to receive my degree was such a special moment, especially with my family there supporting me.

University taught me much more than design. It helped me become more confident, creative and independent. I developed new skills, met some amazing people and created memories that I will always treasure.

Graduation marked the end of one chapter, but it was also the beginning of an exciting new journey. I felt incredibly proud of how far I had come and looked forward to seeing where my creativity and passion for visual merchandising would take me next.

Congratulations to the Class of 2016—we did it! 🎉

Thank You to My University Friends đźŽ“

Thank you to the friends I met at university,
For every laugh, memory and cup of tea.
Through stressful projects and deadlines too,
I couldn’t have done it without all of you.

We supported each other along the way,
And made special memories every day.
Although our university chapter must end,
I’ll always be grateful to call you my friends.

Wherever the future takes us from here,
I’ll remember our moments year after year.
We worked hard, stayed strong and made it through—
University wouldn’t have been the same without you! ❤️

When Technology Meets Creativity: What Does the Future Hold?

Today was a really interesting day, but it also made me think a lot about what the future might look like.

It was exciting hearing about how the creative world is changing, but at the same time, I found it a little scary. Technology is becoming such a big part of creative industries, and people are using it more and more to develop their work, create ideas and work in completely new ways.

As someone who loves being creative, part of me finds this exciting. There are so many new possibilities and new ways of bringing an idea to life. But another part of me worries about what it could mean for jobs in the future. Will there still be enough creative jobs for everyone? Will technology eventually do some of the jobs that people have trained and worked hard for?

I don’t think technology can completely replace human creativity. Being creative is personal. It comes from our experiences, emotions, imagination and the way we see the world. Technology can be a brilliant tool to help us, but I feel there still needs to be a person behind it with the original idea and passion.

Today has definitely opened my eyes. I don’t know exactly what is going to happen in the future, and that uncertainty scares me a little. But it has also made me realise that I need to keep learning, developing my skills and adapting as the creative industry changes.

The future might be different from what I imagined, but I still want creativity to be part of mine. ❤️

Photo Shoot Round Two đ꓏

Sometimes things just don’t go right the first time.

My first photo shoot definitely didn’t turn out the way it was supposed to. After all the preparation, nerves and excitement, finding out that I needed to do it again was frustrating.

I remember thinking, “Seriously… I have to do all that again?”

But here we are — Photo Shoot Round Two!

Going into the second shoot felt completely different. I already knew what to expect, but that didn’t stop the nerves. Part of me was worried that something would go wrong again.

At the same time, I wanted to make this one count.

The first shoot might have been wrong, but it wasn’t completely wasted. It taught me what needed changing and gave me another chance to get things right.

And that’s something I’ve learnt about life too.

Things don’t always work out perfectly the first time. Sometimes you have to go back, try again and keep going even when you’re disappointed.

So, camera ready…

Take two. 📸❤️

Hopefully this time we’ve got it right!

And if nothing else, it’s another memory and another story to add to the journey.

Round two — let’s do this! 🌹

Countdown

The finish line is nearly in sight, and I’m getting ready to hand in my coursework. After all the hard work, it feels exciting and a little nerve-racking to be so close. I’m proud of how far I’ve come—just a few final touches before I can finally say, “I’ve done it!” 💚🎓

Meet the Professionals

Meet the Professionals was a really good opportunity for me to discover what different companies are out there and how they link to the type of career I would like to go into.

I found it really useful being able to speak directly to professionals from the industry. It gave me the chance to ask questions about their companies, the different job roles available and, most importantly, the skills and experience they look for when employing someone. For me, this made the day feel much more real because I wasn’t just learning about the industry in the classroom — I was actually talking to people who work in it.

I found the whole day really interesting and inspiring. It helped me think more seriously about my future and the direction I would like my career to take.

Another really helpful part of the day was getting support with our CVs. Sometimes you can think your CV is right, but it might not be showing the right skills or experience for the particular job you are applying for. Having someone look over mine and give me advice was really useful and helped me understand how important it is to adapt your CV to the career you want.

Overall, Meet the Professionals gave me more confidence about going into the industry. It was a great opportunity to make connections, learn from people already working in the field and understand what I need to work towards. It made me feel excited about where my creativity and skills could take me in the future.
